Neighborhood Coordinators needed!

May 5, 2011

Fruits of the City has openings for Neighborhood Coordinators.

Hundreds of fruit trees are growing in Twin Cities backyards. Many of them produce more fruit than their owners can manage to eat, pick, or preserve.  The Fruits of the City Gleaning Program matches “donated” homeowner trees with groups of trained volunteers, who pick the fruit for donation to local food shelves.

We need Neighborhood Coordinators to monitor the fruit trees for fruit quality and ripeness, and to oversee the gleanings.

This is a volunteer position that comes with a stipend to cover travel and out-of-pocket expenses.

Fruits of the City is a program of The Minnesota Project.
