Event Details

Time and Place:

July 11th from 12:30 to 2:00 pm

Beard’s Plaisance Pavilion on Lake Harriet

Mary Vander Leest, Community Relations Manager, SUPERVALU

Tony Mans, Director of Food Sourcing, Second Harvest Heartland

Jeffrey Johnson, Horticulturist, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, teacher of our Fruit Tree Care Classes

Leah Lundquist, former gleaning leader

Terri Burnor, Neighborhood Coordinator

Mustafa Sundiata, recipient of donations at the North Point Food Shelf

The city recommends that you park on Upton, between 45th and 46th. It is free.

A map of the area can be found here.

Directions can be found here.

In case of rain:

We will be there rain or shine, so in the unfortunate event that the weather does not cooperate, we will be protected from the elements by a large pavilion. Please don’t let it stop you from coming out.

This event is generously sponsored and catered by SUPERVALU.

NEW! Registering as a volunteer:

If you cannot attend but would like to register as a gleaner or register your tree, you can now do so through Volunteer Hub. Registration is free, and it will help us organize our volunteers. You will be able to sign up for individual gleaning events through this site. The questionnaire portion appears longer than it really is: answer only the questions pertaining to your role and leave the others blank. They are labeled accordingly. Thank you!
