New Project Seeks to Open Dialogue between Urban and Rural Communities in Minnesota

April 14, 2010

Minnesota Rural Partners (http://mnruralpartners.wordpress.com/category/rurb-mn/ and http://blog.rurb.mn/) has announced a new pilot project designed to breakdown the cultural and communication barriers that currently stand between Minnesota’s rural and urban communities.  Project partners seek to develop a new model of development based on mutual need and opportunity rather than the model of competition and race to the bottom that has often defined much of development in the last 20 years.  Through this new approach, communities may find better synergies and opportunities while forging new partnerships across this divide to establish new endeavors that will create more resilient local, regional and national economies.  MN Rural Partners will hold a series of videoconferences and meetings to examine issues and opportunities.  All are invited to attend and participate.  If interested in attending a videoconference, review the schedule at: http://blog.rurb.mn/videoconferences/
