Edible Twin Cities Magazine Praises Fruits of The City

The latest issue of Edible Twin Cities Magazine is filled with colorful photos and illuminating stories about the burgeoning local food movement of the Twin Cities. It contains recipes and canning tips, ads for co-ops and farms, and tucked away on page 32, a two page article about our very own Fruits of the City Program. The spread features a photo of a team of Macalester students with a harvest from White Bear Lake, as well as stories from the successful year, plans for the future of the program,  and ways to get involved.

As we move into a winter season of planning and dreaming, we are grateful for the support of the community, whose hard work has made it possible to reach as many people as we have in our first year. We hope that articles like this one, which let me people know how we work, why we’re doing what we’re doing, and how to plug in, will spread the word and increase our potential to bring fresh, local fruit to more people.
