The Myth of Choice and the Taste of Democracy: Building a Local Food Economy conference 11/21

Frances Moore Lappe, author of Diet For a Small Planet and other works, will be the keynote speaker at the 16h annual Fall Soul Conference of the Wisdom Ways organization. The conference, entitled “The Myth of Choice and the Taste of Democracy: Building a Local Food Economy” will bring together local foods leaders, eaters, farmers, and others intersted in building a vibrant local foods economy.

The Minnesota Project is an invited speaker, and will be there representing the Heartland Food Network, Women’s Urban Farm Incubator, and Fruits of the City programs. Please see the attached conference flyer for more information and to register.

(5:00-6:30 pm pre-conference showing of Food, Inc. with soup & bread – $5)

Saturday, November 21: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Cost: $40/$20 students
